title = "Plasmonic nanoparticles as terahertz oscillators",
abstract = "In a highly nonuniform radiation field of hertz dipole induced by polarized laser lights, the gradient force exerted on a plasmonic nanoparticle is extremely large when the laser is excited near Fr{\"o}hlich frequency. The force always tends to pull the nanoparticle back to the central position of the radiation field where the electric field is maximal. According to this mechanism, a nanoparticle oscillator and a rotational oscillator of a spheroidal nanoparticle are proposed with operating frequency up to terahertz.",
