摘要

Chain continuously variable transmission (CVT) is a crucial part of car transmission and frequently found in fuel and hybrid automobile systems. One part of the chain is the swing pin, and the profile curve parameters of this component influence the chain CVT polygon effect. The chain drive’s swing pin profile design is typically optimized for a single applied pulley radius. This study suggests a novel swing pin profile curve and optimizes the swing pin profile parameters to guarantee that chain CVT has good dynamic performance at all speed ratios. Results show that the new swing pin profile can reduce the impact force between the swing pin and pulley by up to 21.5 % while also decreasing the amplitude of swing pin movement fluctuation between the pulleys at high rotational speeds compared with the traditional involute swing pin profile curve.
