On-line remote computer monitoring and control based on labVIEW and webnet

A novel approach to on-line remote computer monitoring and control through network was investigated. The network communication technology virtual instrument technology, TCP/IP protocols and communication modules carried in LabVIEW were used to configure the remote computer monitoring and control system with G programming language on Lab VIEW platform. With the given example, the feasibility and practicability of the approach were testified. By this approach, it is easy to configure the remote computer monitoring and control system, and make full use of the existing network resource. The virtual instrument technology and G language programming also make the system flexible and the vivid user interface facilitates the communication between man and machine.
