Integrated survivable QoS routing in metro IP/WDM networks

摘要

The integrated resilience issues in GMPLS-based metro optical networks (MON) are discussed. A new differentiated integrated survival QoS routing which employs adaptive resilience strategies is also presented. The designing of the multilayer integrated resilience strategies in MON are based upon the convergence and assignment of the recovery functionality between the IP and WDM layers, and differentiated traffic connection provisioning in an integrated manner. On comparing the high priority (HP) traffic and low priority (LP) traffic, it was found that the HP outperforms the LP in terms of average traffic recovery ratio.
