High-Precision 4D Parrallel LiDAR Based on Dual Electro-Optic Combs and Injection-Locked OEO

摘要

We propose a high-precision 4D parallel light detection and ranging (LiDAR) system by leveraging dual electro-optic combs (DEOCs) and injection-locked optoelectronic oscillator (IL-OEO). In the proposed system, the combined use of DEOCs and a diffraction grating enables parallel detection, minimizing dependence on mechanical beam scanning. The IL-OEO are employed to generate wideband linearly chirped microwave waveform, which are converted into a linearly chirped optical signal via electro-optic modulation, enabling high-precision range detection. 4D imaging of a home-made object is experimentally demonstrated, which achieves a range precision as high as 319.1 μm and a measurement rate as high as 0.19 megapixels per second. This approach provides a practical solution for scalable, high-precision 4D imaging, with potential applications in autonomous vehicles, robotics, industrial automation, and medical imaging.
