High-Gain Parallel-fed Conformal Array Antenna with Phase Compensation for Radome Applications

摘要

A high-gain parallel-fed conformal array antenna with phase compensation is presented for radome applications. The patch array antenna consists of 4 × 6 patch elements and is fed by a parallel-fed network. To restore the distorted radiation patterns and gain drop caused by conformality on the radome, phase compensation lines are added on the feeding layer. The proposed conformal array exhibits an impendence bandwidth of 31.9%, ranging from 11.3 GHz to 15.6 GHz. Also, the antenna attains a realized gain of over 15dBi within the band from 11.3 GHz to 17.7 GHz, reaching a peak gain of 17.5 dBi.
