摘要

Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology demonstrates enormous potential in clinical applications, resulting in its ethical risks requiring further verification. To ensure that the development and application of BCI technology benefit humans while avoiding harm to research participants, it is essential to have strict ethical reviews before the implementation of BCI clinical research. This paper proposes the key points of ethical review for BCI clinical research based on the four principles of biomedical ethics, and discusses the ethical risks of BCI technology from autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence, and justice. This paper aims to support ethical review committees and investigators to have a better understanding and assessment of the risks and benefits of BCI clinical research, optimize research protocols, and protect the rights and safety of research participants.
