Enhancing Cloud Security via Joint Optimization of Backup and Mission Abort Policies

摘要

In cyber-physical systems subject to cumulative random shocks, potential data loss pose critical operational risks. To enhance data security and mission resilience, this paper proposes a hybrid strategy that integrates periodic data backup with a shock-triggered mission abortion policy. The system gradually degrades under stochastic shock arrivals, modeled as a Poisson process, affecting data upload efficiency. A recursive probabilistic model is developed to derive the Mission Success Probability (MSP), incorporating both backup interval and abort threshold as decision variables. Simulation results reveal that properly balancing backup frequency and abort timing significantly improves system robustness under attack conditions. This study provides a novel framework for proactive data protection in mission-critical IoT applications.
