摘要
An analytical rigid-plastic model is proposed in order to study the damping effect of surrounding medium on the plastic response of a circular plate when subjected to a pulse load. Medium damping is simplified by introducing a damping pressure force as a product of constant damping coefficient and velocity. Shear and bending deformations are included in both equilibrium equation and yield condition. Based on the dimensional analysis and the analytical solution for rectangular pulse loading, damping effects on response and failure modes are discussed.
