摘要

An Ad hoc wireless mobile network is an infrastructureless mobile network that has no permanent routing device. Any mobile host may have direct radio links with other hosts in its vicinity and could function as a relay station routing traffic to its final destination. Ad hoc networks significantly facilitate untethered communication as mobile devices can be connected dynamically in an arbitrary manner. However, an efficient routing protocol is crucially demanded in ad hoc networks environment due to the unpredictable topology changes caused by nodal movement or failure. To ensure uninterrupted communication, a dynamic load-balanced routing (DLBR) algorithm is presented in this paper. DLBR defines new metric for effective bandwidth reservation, which can adapt well to bandwidth-constrained scenarios. Efficient rerouting scheme is also addressed in DLBR to further improve packet delivery ratio. Simulation results show that DLBR can not only reduce packet drop rate while supporting more mobility, but also balance the load of the entire network and thus contribute to packets salvaging.
