Determination of pressure waveform in a T-burner based on standing wave ratio

摘要

In this paper, numerical simulation method based on T-burner test has been used to study the pressure wave propagation after a pulse, aiming to explore the pressure waveform characteristics after pulse and provide a theoretical guidance for future experiments. After the validity of the numerical method has been verified, the waveforms of pressure wave in T-burner are divided into five stages. Although different stages of waveforms can be initially distinguished by pressure contours and axis of pressure value, it is not intuitive enough for follow-up analysis and engineering applications. Thus, the concept of standing wave ratio in theoretical acoustics is introduced to determine the waveform in the T-burner. It can be more intuitive to determine the waveform by standing wave ratio, and more convenient in the application of the engineering project. In addition, the application of standing wave ratio also has an important significance in further understanding of energy characteristics of the T-burner, which is widely focused on by many combustion instability researchers.
