摘要

Early career education is foundational to children’s self-concept development and long-term growth. Yet, in practice, content fragmentation often prevents learning experiences from being organized across contexts, making it difficult for motivational signals—such as interest and self-efficacy—to accumulate over time. Addressing the gap that established motivational theories are not readily translatable into operable classroom-level design decisions, this study adopts a design-oriented research stance and proposes an integrated design framework for early career education, which is examined through an exploratory classroom pilot. Grounded in Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT), situated learning, and connectivism, the framework conceptualizes interest and self-efficacy as state-like motivational variables that can be activated and supported through instructional design. It then translates these variables into configurable classroom structures and instantiable design components via a five-layer course framework, a cluster of coordinated design strategies, and a 4C classroom micro-cycle (Context–Connect–Create–Comment). Pilot findings suggest that practitioners can comprehend and articulate the framework’s organizing logic, enact it under resource-constrained conditions, and observe process-level motivational signals consistent with the design conjectures, thereby enabling interpretable localization of motivational activation and cognitive connection in classroom practice. Overall, this work offers a reusable translational pathway from motivational variables to executable classroom design elements and provides a methodological basis for future instantiations across media conditions as well as larger-scale longitudinal studies.
