摘要
The effects of the axial width of hydraulic retarder on its braking performance are studied in this paper. Firstly, a design method of hydraulic retarder with varying width of circular circle is proposed. Then the automatic parametric modeling and simulation of hydraulic retarder with varying width of circular circle are conducted based on 3 D integrated simulation technique. Finally the distributions of the velocity field, pressure field and turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rate of the internal flow path are compared and the braking torques are analyzed for hydraulic retarders with different flatness ratios. The results show that the braking torque of hydraulic retarder decreases with the reduction in flatness ratio of circular circle.
