Comparison of turbulence models for multiphase-flow oscillating heat transfer enhancement

摘要

Multiphase-flow oscillating heat transfer is a kind of highly efficient heat transfer method. In this article, two turbulence models are used to simulate the oscillating heat transfer process. Results include qualitative and quantitative comparisons with experimental data. We find that, in both a closed cavity and an open oil cooling gallery, the SST k-ω model performs better in the simulation of oscillating movement, as well as in the heat transfer effect prediction. The error of the heat transfer coefficient begins to increase with at increasing Reynolds number, illustrating that the SST k-ω model has higher accuracy at low Reynolds numbers.
