Collision risk assessment for constellation satellites Based on A Multidisciplinary Space Debris Evolution Model

摘要

In recent years, the expansion of mega-constellations has intensified the degradation of the space debris environment, increasing risks to spacecraft safety. This study develops a multidisciplinary space debris evolution model that integrates topological networks, fluid mechanics, and spacecraft dynamics to characterize object relationships and enable efficient environment prediction. Building on this, a collision probability algorithm is proposed. Application to constellation satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) shows that intra-constellation collisions dominate operational risks, while deorbiting risks peak when satellites cross the Starlink operational region.
