N2 - The purpose of this paper was to deeply explore the characteristics of novice and experienced drivers’ navigation information acquisition through the test, analyze the differences of their situated cognition and explore the pain points and needs of novice drivers, finally propose suggestions for targeted navigation guidance mode. The methods of this paper included collecting relevant data of the subjects through road test and eye tracking experiments, quantitatively and qualitatively analyzing the interactive behaviors of the subjects, and analyzing the problems of easy yaw and inaccurate information acquisition for novice drivers. The results showed we can explore the information acquisition characteristics of novice drivers from the perspective of situated cognition. Novice drivers pay more attention to the current position and road type, lack the concept of distance, rely more on the efficiency of voice reminder, lack of subjective judgment and prediction, and tend to miss information when encountering complex tasks.
