摘要
The process of setting up the CAD/CAM system for the complex impeller of a vehicle turbocharger compressor is introduced. From the way of free surface impeller design to the processing through 5-axis end milling, the system can be used to machine complex trimmed free surfaces for minor diameter impellers. A compressor impeller with a diameter of 120 mm has been machined successfully with this system.
