摘要

A laboratory-scale injector deposit simulator was developed to produce the deposit films at various temperatures. The Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) technique was used to analyze the effects of gasoline composition and additives on the deposit formation mechanism. The experimental results showed that this simulating experimental method could be applied to study the quantitative effects of gasoline composition or additives on deposition. The FTIR spectroscopy analysis can provide some insights into the deposit formation mechanism resulted from the oxidation of the unstable hydrocarbon species in gasoline.
