摘要
A wideband three-layered octagon dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) based on the superformula is proposed. To broaden the bandwidth limitation of conventional DRAs, the superformula is used to optimize dielectric resonators with different shapes. Meanwhile, hollow cubic unit cells are used to reconstruct the three-layered structure for the 3D printing process. Simulated results indicate that the antenna has a -10 dB impedance bandwidth of 61.0%(3.10-5.82 GHz), and its gain spans from 2.68 dBi to 4.63 dBi. Moreover, the efficiency within the passband exceeds 83.1%.
