摘要

This paper proposes a speed guidance-based signal control method for divisible platoon (DPSC) in Cooperative Vehicle Infrastructure System (CVIS). The research formulates a platoon splitting method based on LTE-V communication technology. And a signal control model for divisible platoons is brought out on the basis of the method. In the model, a control center at the signalized intersection firstly determines an initially releasing time restricted by a few restrictions for platoons of one direction. Then the control model guides the passable platoons of the phase go through the intersection in their allocation time by speed guidance and platoon splitting. Speed and accelerate limits are applied to insure traffic safety. The DPSC model and actuated signal control model are simulated in Simulation of Urban Mobility (SUMO) and the analysis results show that the DPSC model can reduce depart delay and waiting time and platoon speed is increased at the same time. Traffic efficiency at signalized intersection can be improved effectively under the control of DPSC model.
