A Robust OFDM-DSSS Acquisition Algorithm for Low SNR and High Mobility Scenarios

摘要

This paper proposes an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing-direct sequence spread spectrum (OFDMDSSS) transceiver architecture and a multi-symbol waveform matching acquisition algorithm to address the problems of synchronization in low signal noise ratio (SNR) and high mobility scenarios. By integrating DSSS with OFDM, the proposed system leverages the processing gain of DSSS to enhance signal energy accumulation and improve acquisition performance. The multisymbol coherent accumulation strategy refines frequency resolution and increases the peak-to-average ratio, enabling robust detection under severe communication conditions. Simulations and FPGA hardware tests show it that the proposed method achieves an acquisition probability of 99.8 % at a false alarm probability of 10-4, significantly outperforming existing approaches in low SNR and high mobility scenarios.
