A model based on acceleration for calculation of projectile penetration depth

摘要

An important function of kinetic energy penetrator is to detonate at certain depth. It is so short penetration time that the calculation of penetration depth must be rapid and real-time for accurate detonation. The calculation speed of projectile penetration depth is not only related to the hardware of the control system in projectile, but also directly related to the calculation method. The most direct method is to calculate the penetration depth by overload acceleration integral. However, it is difficult to reach the real-time calculation because the operational time is relative long. In the paper, according to semi-empirical formula, a calculation model of penetration depth was deduced under the normal penetration condition. A hardware-in-loop simulation system was used to verify that the real-time of this method is obviously improved compared with the integral method.
