摘要

Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) provides a novel model-driven design paradigm for complex systems. Digital thread provides a critical approach for effectively managing multi-domain and heterogeneous models for MBSE. The cognitive intelligent transformation of MBSE brings new technical challenges to digital thread* especially in challenges of complex system models including their semantic heterogeneity, their multi-domain coupling knowledge, and their autonomy application with diverse scenarios. To address the challenges and enhance the cognitive intelligent characteristic of digital thread, the Cognitive Digital Thread (CDT) for MBSE was proposed. The intrinsic connections of CDT in four dimensions of cognition, organization, decision-making and execution were revealed. The conceptual connotation of CDT was illustrated from the four levels of scale: social, process, information and service architecture, and technology. The reference architecture of CDT was discussed from perspectives of implementation framework and operation framework, and its key enabling technologies were analyzed, including model semantic cognition technology, model linkage and interoperability technology, model adaptive decision-making technology, and model automation framework technology. The typical application scenarios of CDT were discussed, including the aerospace system overall design and the multi-level equipment integrated design. The demands and challenges of CDT in the future were expounded in detail for demonstrating its application foundation and effectiveness for MBSE. This study provided insights and practical reference for developing CDT of complex systems in the context of modeling, digitization and intelligence, and promoted the model-driven design paradigm and digital engineering transformation for complex systems.
