摘要
Selenium is an essential trace element in living systems, and performs vital biological functions. The biological functions of selenium are mainly presented by selenocompounds, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and enhancing thyroid function. Currently, the specific biological functions of most selenocompounds in different physiological and pathological processes remain unclear. Therefore, exploring the biological functions of selenocompounds in different physiological and pathological processes has received great attention. In recent years, the fluorescence imaging of selenocompounds has been rapidly developed. This review provides an overview of the progress in this research field, which is divided into four sections based on the types of selenocompounds: (1) fluorescence analysis of selenocysteine; (2) fluorescence analysis of hydrogen selenide; (3) fluorescence analysis of thioredoxin oxidoreductase; and (4) fluorescence analysis of selenite. Finally, an outlook on the future development of the field is given.
