摘要
To increase the demand for the safe current of insensitive igniter, a new type ignition powder of Mg2Si/KCIO4 was prepared via ultrasonic dispersion and mixing, and its combustion behavior and performance in practical applications were investigated. The composite was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and laser particle size analysis. The reaction mechanism was elucidated through thermogravimetry-differential scanning calorimetry (TC-DSC) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The combustion characteristics of Mg2Si/KCIO4 were benchmarked against those of the conventional ignition powder Zr/KCIO4. Experimental assessments were conducted using a closed exploder, an oxygen bomb calorimeter, a laser ignition system, a high-speed video camera, an infrared thermometer, and a T-jump apparatus. The ignition powders were further integrated into an initiating explosive device to evaluate both safety and ignition performance. The results demonstrate that the synthesized Mg2Si/KCIO4 exhibits uniformly distributed components. It achieves a peak combustion pressure of approximately 152.0kPa, a pressurization rate of about 4.83X 104 kPa/ms, and a combustion heat of around 5 59OJ/g. The ignition delay time is 1 260, with an ignition temperature of 1 727. O’C and a combustion flame temperature reaching 1 130’C . The combustion process is characterized by minimal molten particle splashing and the emission of dense white smoke. At a confidence level of 0. 95 and a reliability level of 0.999, the Mg2Si/KCIO4 initiating explosive device exhibits a non-ignition current of 1.50A and an ignition current of 3. 15A. Comparative analysis confirms that Mg2Si/KCIO4 offers superior combustion performance and enhanced thermal safety over the traditional Zr/KCIO4 formulation, significantly improving the intrinsic safety of conventional initiating explosive devices.
