摘要

In order to explore new characteristic parameters to predict the storage life of NEPE propellant, the high-temperature accelerated aging tests were carried out. The parameters such as explosion heat, mechanical properties, burning rate, effective stabilizer content, critical temperature of thermal explosion, crosslink density were detected during the aging process through a series of performance tests of aging samples. Simultaneously the Bethelot equation was used to estimate the storage life of NEPE propellant. The results show that no significant changes with the aging time can be observed for the explosion heat, burning rate, critical temperature of thermal explosion, and effective stabilizer content of NEPE propellant during the high-temperature accelerated aging process. The maximum tensile strength and crosslink density decrease significantly and have regularity during the aging process, which indicates that the decrease of mechanical properties and crosslinking density are the main failure mode of propellant, that is, mechanical properties and crosslink density can be used as characteristic parameters. The estimated storage life of NEPE propellant at 30 ℃ is 18. 5 years with the crosslink density performance reduced to 85% as the failure endpoint. The evaluation results of the storage life of NEPE propellant with two different characteristic parameters are the same basically, which provides guidance for the storage life research of NEPE propellants.
