组织简介
北京理工大学信息与电子学院前身是始建于1953年的我国地方院校第一个雷达设计与制造专业，是我国首批从事雷达、遥控遥测领域科研与专业人才培养的单位之一。1956年，以雷达设计与制造专业为基础建立无线电工程系（五系）。1971年，无线电工程系更名为电子工程系。2002年，电子工程系参与组建信息科学技术学院。2008年，以原电子工程系为基础重组为信息与电子学院。
