Abstract

In the decentralized wireless network, relay transmission is a key transmission technique. By cooperation among the nodes, information is relayed node by node from the source node to the destination node. In a relay transmission system, the use of digital fountain codes can effectively reduce the feedback messages, and greatly improve the forward transmission performance. In this paper, a fountain relay transmission scheme is proposed, and the transmission performance from the source node to the relay nodes, and that from the relay nodes to the destination node are analyzed respectively. The scheme can help greatly shorten transmission time when there are more than one relay nodes. At the same time, the fountain relay system can make full use of their transmission capability by automatically adapting to the random change of the number and transmission capability of relay nodes.
