Abstract

To acquire image with higher resolution without changing the hardware, bilinear interpolation and wavelet interpolation algorithm is analyzed. A new unbalanced coefficient wavelet interpolation algorithm is proposed. The amplitude of different high frequency channels of wavelet is reduced and applied with different limit coefficients, and better interpolation images with high resolution are obtained. The experiments prove this algorithm can improve the capability of getting higher resolution image and it is also an effective algorithm for infrared image. In experiment the PSNR is improved by 0.5 dB compared with the bilinear interpolation algorithm. This algorithm is of lower calculation complexity and high calculation speed.
