Abstract

In this paper, an ultra wide-band (UWB) channel model is developed to analyze and describe the time-domain electric field of an UWB signal propagating in a complex indoor environment. Based on the ray tracing, reflection and diffraction method, the refraction analysis is added. The refraction through a wall with different parameters is simulated. The results show that for low loss medium wall, the refracted signal has strong power and cannot be ignored.
