Abstract

This paper discusses the assignment of wireless resources. After the effect of the ad hoc communication mode on the hybrid network is discussed in detail, two resources assignment algorithms which simultaneously support the cellular mode and the ad hoc mode are proposed. The former algorithm doesn't adopt the spatial reuse characteristics of wireless communication by which the resources can be used simultaneously among nodes, while the latter algorithm adopts. The simulations indicate that these two algorithms can improve the performance of the hybrid network both in the random topology and the specific topology. And because of the spatial reuse, the latter algorithm outperforms the former one.
