Abstract

A two-port conformal capsule antenna with high isolation is proposed in this work. The capsule antenna integrates an inverted-F antenna (IFA) on port 1 and a dipole antenna on port 2. The IFA is used for communication, operating in the MedRadio band (401-430 MHz) and the ISM band (863-927 MHz). The dipole antenna, designed for wireless energy harvesting (WEH), is conformally placed on the capsule below the IFA arm, with a resonant frequency of ISM band (2.4 GHz). The isolation between the two ports is greater than 20 dB at three operating frequencies. The specific absorption rate (SAR) values for the antenna are compared across different frequencies. The resulting configurations are simple and compact, making them ideal for conformal capsule applications.
