Two-dimensional mesoporous carbon nanosheets as a high-performance anode material for lithium-ion batteries

Abstract

Mesoporous carbon nanosheets (MCNSs) of 40nm thickness and 10μm width have been prepared. Dense mesopores with an average size of 9nm were distributed in a disorderly manner throughout the nanosheets. Anodes made from MCNSs and applied in lithium-ion batteries delivered superior rate performances and stable cycle life (see figure).
