Abstract
A new technology for measuring the characteristics of fiber gratings was described. By projection a beam from a HeNe laser onto the fiber grating transversely and measuring the first Bragg diffraction, the property of the fiber grating can be measured. Based on this technique, the distribution of reflectivity of the fiber grating can be obtained.
