Abstract

According to the special properties of wireless sensor network, a top-down skyline monitor algorithm is proposed. Using the hyper-cube assigned for each node, the proposed algorithm efficiently processes data filtering and maintenance in the skyline monitoring. Experimental results show that the algorithm can efficientlly supress unnecessary data transmission and reduce the energy cost, so that the life-span of the network is prolonged.
