Abstract

Under the general Circular Restricted Three Body Problem (CRTBP) model for deep space exploration, the Chief-Deputy spacecrafts formation model was built up. The controller design process was convened into a kind of Linear Matrix Inequality problem. Considering the fuel consumption, accuracy and thruster ability, a threshold control scheme was proposed. Based on the background of NASA task, simulations of formation maneuver and keeping were done. Results show that with the proposed scheme, the formation system meets the performance demands.
