Abstract

It has become an important research area to develop new temperature response chromatographic materials. The recent progresses about temperature response chromatographic materials based on poly (N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) were reviewed. And the separation and enrichment factors of analytes on temperature response chromatographic materials were summarized from different types of chromatographic materials. Some achievements were gotten for good separation of peptides and Amino acids under the pure water as the mobile phase, and for the selective enrichment and separation of biomolecules such as adenosine nucleotide and protein by the temperature control. And temperature response material is successfully applied in serum proteomics analysis of samples. Results show that thrombin and the cis-diol containing bimolecular such as adenosine and horseradish peroxides can be enriched and separated with the temperature changing, and the separation of acids molecules using temperature sensitive capillary column by the change of temperature can be realized. Moreover, the research significance, development direction and prospects of its application are commented.
