Thermal decomposition of ammonium bichromate and HMX - A supplement to prout-tompkins effect

Abstract

The thermal decomposition of ammonium bichromate[(NH 4)Cr 2O 7] and cyclotetramethylenetetranitramine (HMX) were experimentally studied. It was observed that this mixture decomposed with thermal splitting. The DTA curves show a quite steep appearance. This thermal splitting behavior makes their kinetic parameters of thermal decomposition anomalous compared with those of other materials.
