Abstract

The signal responses under 4 states of chopper modulation in the pyroelectric uncooled focal plane array (FPA) infrared detector are investigated and their changes are worked out theoretically. The digital analog analyses of their values show that the difference in the signal response reflects the variation in dual bands for the incident emission of the scene. Hence, it is expected that by using a single uncooled BaxSr1-xTiO3 FPA detector, a thermal image system (TIS) may be realized for acquisition of scenic dual bands information.
