Abstract

This paper takes asymmetric dual boost compressor as the study object, and simulates the compressor double sided impeller area by numerical methods. To widen the operating range of asymmetric dual boost compressor, and to delay the conversion of operating mode, the outlet radius of rear impeller blades is increased. And the result shows that the power capability of rear impeller is improved and double sided impellers are better matched with the rear one. By the comparison of the three schemes and the analysis on the blade loading and internal flow structure, it can be concluded that increasing the rear impeller blades reasonably enables the matching relationship of double sides impellers better, and then the collaborative working area of dual boost compressor is widened consequently.
