Abstract

Natural polymer-based stimuli-responsive hydrogels change properties according to the external environment. The fundamental understanding of the mechanisms of responsiveness and the effects of natural polymers in chemical stimulations, physical stimulations, biostimulations are important. In this chapter, the advancements of stimuli-responsive natural polymer-based hydrogels in recent years will be discussed.
