Abstract

In this paper, a synthetic method combined by 1/3 octave spectrum and wavelet energy spectrum is proposed. In normal state, the energy spectrum of the vibration signal for gearbox is definite. But when one component in gearbox goes wrong, the change of energy distribution of the spectrum occurs necessarily. Since the characteristics of 1/3 octave spectrum and wavelet energy spectrum in different state are analyzed respectively, the fault of gear box is identified effectively.
