Abstract

In order to meet the requirement of working performance and cooling of hydro-viscous drive, the gap of friction pair should be distributed uniformly as well as possible. Based on the governing equations of incompressible fluid and Shear Stress Transport(SST) turbulence model, three-dimensional flow field models of two different oil channel structures were established. The numerical simulation of the flow field of lubricating oil channel was computed by the ANSYS CFX. The influence of the oil channel structure on pressure and velocity distribution of the entrance to friction pair was researched. The results show that the oil channel structure has a significant effect on the pressure and velocity distribution of the entrance to friction pair. The improved oil channel has the less pressure loss. Meanwhile, the pressure and velocity of nozzle opening well distributed, which could make the gap of multidisc friction and steel plates uniformly distribute to meet the requirement of hydro-viscous torque transmission and cooling.
