Abstract

To study the dynamic response properties of brittle rock under strong impact loading, the stress.wave curves were measured using the planar impact technique. The mechanical properties and deformation characteristics of marble at the high strain rate (104-105 s-1) were analyzed by Lagrangian analysis method. An experimental and computational study of mechanical parameters of marble were outlined. The constitutive relations of marble was obtained. And then, the mechanical properties of rock response to shock-wave loading were deeply discussed.
