Abstract

In two-way microwave time transfer via CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) signals, pseudo-range smoothing is an efficient method to improve the precision. Conventional Hatch filter using constant smoothing window is not an optimal filter respect to the measurement noise. In this paper, an adaptive Kalman filter suitable for pseudo-range smoothing in two-way microwave time transfer is introduced. By estimate and update measurement noise matrix, the proposed AKF outperforms the Hatch filter in both simulation and experiment tests.
