Abstract

The code translation method for the wavelength-time optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) system based on nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM) is proposed. The all optical code converter scheme is designed. Moreover, the bit-error-rate (BER) performance of the proposed converter scheme is analyzed and simulated. The simulation results show that the OCDMA system using the code converters has better BER performance than that without code converters. The data can be successfully transmitted.
