Abstract

The long reach capability of superchannel transmission using noise-suppressed Nyquist wavelength-division multiplexing (NS-N-WDM) has been evaluated. Field demonstration was achieved by co-transmitting 100G real-time channels, and 400G and 1T superchannels over 1750km with EDFA-only amplification.
