Abstract

Multi-sensor photo-electronic system integrated with laser ranging, laser-guiding exposure, visible and thermal imaging is now widely applied on the platform of modern armaments. Multi-axes parallelism is the basis in ensuring normal operation of multi-sensor photo-electronic armaments. So the detection of multi-axes parallelism has become the key point in checking the performance of multi-sensor photo-electronic system. The routine test methods for optical axes parallelism was reviewed, and the multi-axes parallelism detecting method based on video digital imaging was introduced, which is now progressing rapidly, with the focus on introducing the detection method and its characteristics for outfield in multi-axes parallelism based on video imaging. Analysis shows that it is an effective method with broad application perspective, and to be applied in the multi-axes on-line detection.
