Abstract

The vibration of satellite platform would lead to the relative motion between the optical camera and the scene during the exposure time, seriously affecting the image quality. However, the degradation form of the actual images is much more complex, which makes the degradation form and the degradation parameters very difficult to determine. Fortunately, the simulation of degraded images brings a great convenience to improve the situation. By analyzing the characters of satellite vibration and its impacts on images, the path of image motion was proposed as a new conception, and equal weight degradation method based on the matrix of image motion was put forward. In the simulation process, synthetical vibration of all attitudes and frequency was considered. Once the vibration functions of satellite and the original image were got, the degraded image could be generated. Moreover theoretical analysis of simulated images' spectrums was done to prove the reliability of simulation.
