Abstract
Block copolymerization of acrylamide(AM) and styrene(St) was carried out in a microemulsion system, in which AM aqueous solution was the continue phase and St was the dispersed phase using OP-10 and SDS as surfactants respectively. Water-soluble amphiphilic block copolymer of AM-St was synthesized. The block architecture of the copolymer was characterized by fluorescence probe technology and by measuring the DSC thermograms and the theological property of the copolymer. The composition of the copolymer was analyzed by FTIR and UV methods.
